I am commenting on this comment:
“Oh brother. This thing has been floating around the internet for a while now and it still makes me nauseous. “He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.” Please don’t kid yourself. Our rights as Americans have only ever been threatened by the Bush Administration itself(remember the Patriot Act?) Iraq never threatened or attacked the USA so how does killing thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians protect my rights or make me more free? Soldiers are many things but defenders of our civil liberties they are not.”(Comment by Tortugita….)
So, as soon as I read this comment I found myself clicking onto your blog page and reading your post about your cousin. She is supposedly your favorite cousin that has just gotten back from Iraq, and is about to get out of the military, and blah blah blah….
Here’s the thing about me: I could give two shits if you agree with the war, i could give a flying frog if you like, don’t like, or absolutely HATE the President. What I do care about is the fact that you say you don’t support our troops. That’s fine if you want to think in your tiny little head that you don’t support the soldiers. You should just have the plain human decency of keeping it to your damn self. Don’t disrespect the people over their fighting and dieing without even getting to say a last good-bye to their loved ones so cowards like yourself can shit all over them. If it wasn’t for soldiers that voluntarily joined our US military – right now you might be over there fighting and dieing. SO yeah, technically because of them you don’t have to!
Even though one your favorite cousins had to go over seas, and thankfully got to come back home safely, you can actually honestly say that you don’t support our troops. I’m a soldier that was activated for OEF, my mother was in Germany for OEF, my ex-husband was in Iraq for OEF and so were two of my cousins, and I won’t begin to tell you about the countless friends that have been activated and sent to many different places for different lengths of time. My cousin didn’t get to see his second son being born, he missed his first son’s birthday, he had to leave his entire family and all of his friends behind. My mother almost missed my little brother getting to graduate from High School because she was gone, she had to leave while her own mother was on her deathbed – thankfully she was able to get leave to come home a day or two before she died and stayed for the funeral. These are just a few things that soldiers I know have had to sacrifice because they have been sent over seas for this war.
Now, like I said: I don’t give a shit if you hate the President and wear shirts that ’scream’ “F*ck the War!” However, you should rethink your statement about not supporting our troops. It’s an abslute cowardly thing to say, and very disrespectful to everyone that is someone or knows someone that is or has been a soldier. Get over yourself.
That’s all.

Hooah!
THIS may take you two minutes to read this but if you do not take the time to read this you are one of the people this post is talking about.
You stay up for 16 hours
He stays up for days on end.
_________________________
You take a warm shower to help you wake up.
He goes days or weeks without running water.
__________________________
You complain of a “headache”, and call in sick.
He gets shot at as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.
__________________________
You put on your anti war/don’t support the troops shirt, and go meet up with your friends.
He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.
__________________________
You make sure you’re cell phone is in your pocket.
He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.
__________________________
You talk trash about your “buddies” that aren’t with you.
He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.
__________________________
You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.
He walks the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.
_________________________
You complain about how hot it is.
He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.
__________________________
You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.
He doesn’t get to eat today.
__________________________
Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.
He wears the same things for weeks, but makes sure his weapons are clean.
__________________________
You go to the mall and get your hair redone.
He doesn’t have time to brush his teeth today.
__________________________
You’re angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.
He’s told he will be held over an extra 2 months.
__________________________
You call your girlfriend and set a date for tonight.
He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.
__________________________
You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.
He holds his letter close and smells his love’s perfume.
__________________________
You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they’ll ever meet
__________________________
You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remembers why he is fighting.
__________________________
You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of men like him.
He hears the gunfire, bombs and screams of the wounded.
__________________________
You see only what the media wants you to see.
He sees the broken bodies lying around him.
__________________________
You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don’t.
He does exactly what he is told.
__________________________
You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call, write home, sleep, and eat.
__________________________
You crawl into your soft bed, with down pillows, and get comfortable.
He crawls under a tank for shade and a 5 minute nap, only to be woken by gunfire.
__________________________
You sit there and judge him, saying the world is probably a worse place because of men like him.
If only there were more men like him
~God bless all of our military men and women, bless their families, bless their friends, and bring them back home safely!~

Hope your New Year is going well so far…
Well, I hope everyones new year is going well for them. My new year is not going that great so far…..
I have had a huge fight with some close friends. I have been scared half to death because of stupid people. I have been harassed by a strange guy on the phone, I have been to the police and filed reports against this strange guy several times now, I have been accused of sleeping with someone, I have cried for five hours straight in one evening, I have had my first panic attack in about eight months. I have had an altogther shitty new year thus far.
Things can only get better….or worse…from here. I guess time will tell which it will be…
Until next time….Happy Blogging!

Like it, Love it, or by all means…Leave it!
I started this web log one night after a particularly bad conversation with someone. I needed to get some stuff off my chest. What better way to vent than to just start typing? (If you talk to someone, then you have to answer questions.) I didn’t really know how to start a blog, so I just did it.
In my blog I will vent about things that piss me off, tell funny stories, or just type about things that might not be of interest to you, but these things will be part of my life. If at any time you don’t like what you’re reading, then by all means, go somwhere else!
Here is me and my cute puppy, Kobe…He is the cutest dog in the whole world! He loves to play and cuddle…He’s such a momma’s pup too, I love him! He’s great when I just need to hug someone, always ready for a hug! He is so precious!
Leave comments if you visit please…otherwise, how will I know you were here?
